Follow the Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio Homicide Trial — FL v. Alicia Andrews

The murder trial of the woman accused of helping plan the murder of rapper Julio Foolio, whose real name was Charles Jones is now underway in Hillsborough County Court.

According to prosecutors that Andrews acted as a lookout while Charles Jones was celebrating his birthday. They claim she coordinated with others who later trapped the rapper in a Holiday Inn parking area.

Three gunmen allegedly fired dozens of rounds, taking his life and injuring three others.

She faces charges of first-degree murder and planning a murder.

Prosecutors have presented digital evidence that they say show her role in the planning. This includes deleted texts and videos recovered from her phone.

The defense argues that she didn’t know what the others intended to do. They claim she was in Tampa for personal reasons.
